From the Founder, sharing as a parent

Why I'm Building This: My Story

When I became a parent, I thought connection would come naturally. You love your kids, you show up, you talk — how hard could it be?

But over time, I noticed something was off. The connection I imagined wasn't matching the one we had. Not because my kids were difficult, but because I didn't know how to meet them in the moments that mattered most.

I tried everything — books, workshops, advice from professionals, even the quick "tips" that promised calm. They all made sense on paper. But when real life hit — when emotions ran high, or I was tired or stressed — it all vanished. Nothing stuck.

I'd snap, freeze, or fall back into old habits I thought I'd outgrown. My culture, childhood, and conditioning showed up louder than my intentions. And every time, I'd promise myself I'd do better, only to repeat the same patterns the next day.

I tried my best, over and over. But when I slipped up, the guilt hit hard. I'd carry it with me — replaying moments, promising to do better, and then falling into the same patterns again.

Eventually I realized it wasn't just about effort. It was also about mindset and how I was learning. I'd understand ideas, but they'd fade when life got messy. I didn't need more information; I needed reminders, reflections, and real-time nudges that kept what mattered front of mind.

Parenting isn't about memorizing advice — it's about remembering who you want to be in the moment. And nothing I tried helped me do that. I needed something that could meet me before, during, and after those moments — the ones that test you, stretch you, and shape connection itself.

"Leave 'perfect' for the Olympics. Our kids need us present — in a safe space."

It's not too late to build the connection you want with your kids.

That's why I'm creating ParentApp — not another parenting resource, but a practical co-pilot that helps parents stay calm, connected, and confident in real life.
